MACHINE HEAD Explains FIELDS OF ROCK Cancellation

June 16, 2007

MACHINE HEAD was forced to miss its scheduled appearance at the 2007 edition of the Fields of Rock festival, which is taking place June 16-17 at the Evenemententerrein Walibi World in Biddinghuizen, Holland. The group has issued the following statement regarding the matter:

"MACHINE HEAD offers their sincerest apologies for missing their scheduled performance today [June 16] at Fields of Rock. Unfortunately, a pipe in the engine of their bus cracked and left the band stranded in Germany for hours until it could be repaired. The band made every effort to expedite the repairs, and even attempted to charter another bus in the hopes that they could still make it in time. Unfortunately, nothing could have gotten them there in time for their performance. Again, please accept MACHINE HEAD's sincerest apologies, and trust that the band are as pissed as you are that they weren't able to play."

Professionally filmed video footage of MACHINE HEAD's entire performance at the Download festival on Saturday, June 9 at Donington Park, Leicestershire, England has been posted at YouTube.

A video interview with MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn, conducted this past Sunday (June 10) by Metal Hammer TV, has been posted at this location.

MACHINE HEAD's latest album, "The Blackening", was released in late March via Roadrunner Records.
